A New Kind of Slavery

I hear a little rumble. It’s not thunderous yet, but maybe it soon will be. If so, it will be long overdue.
I’ve read several articles of late about a disturbing problem–sexual slavery or forced prostitution. We’ve known it was happening overseas for a number of years. The news has been replete with stories about girls, women, and boys overseas that, lured by offers of work or security, are held hostage and forced to “service” a seemingly endless line of men. Many of these men are foreigners and some are Americans, eager to go where no one knows them, and law enforcement is lax or understaffed, to fulfill their perverse fantasies.
